  1. EZsetup.txt    Reference file for EZsetup utility

  5.    This setup program allows you to select start-up options that will
  6. be used by EZhelp at runtime. A file will be created by the name of
  7. EZhelp.dat, and it can be placed in a subdirectory with whichever
  8. reference file is to be used with EZhelp. This is Setup 1, which
  9. controls the colors and style of the help menu and reference window.

  11.    To select an option, press Tab and move the »» color selector.
  12.  
  13.    To change the color or style of the option, use the arrow keys.
  14.  
  15.    To move to Setup 2, press F5. To save the options, press F10.
  16.  
  17.    To exit, press escape.

  19. You can use the reference displayed
  20. here as a preview of each change you
  21. make to colors or options. Just
  22. save the options by pressing F10,
  23. then press F1 to see how the changes
  24. look with EZhelp running.

  27. The title color will be used for the menu names, and the name of
  28. the help reference window (the last menu topic selected).

  30. The window color will cover the un-hilited topics in each window,
  31. and the help text color displayed in the reference windows.

  33. The hilite color appears on the moving selection bar on the
  34. menu topics.

  36. You may select a color for the first letter of each topic in
  37. a menu.

  39. The border color will be used for both the topic menu and the
  40. help reference window.

  46. When a letter key is pressed, the hilite bar will move to the next
  47. topic matching that letter, when possible. If Auto selection is ON,
  48. the return key need not be pressed for selection.

  50. If Window sizing is ON, EZhelp will make the help reference window
  51. as narrow as possible for the text to be displayed. With Window
  52. sizing OFF, the window will always be 80 columns.

  54. If Page numbers is ON, and there is more help text than can fit on
  55. screen, a page count will display on the lower left of the window
  56. in the format "n of n".
  57. {{ Display errors, 2,  4,  0 }}
  58. If display errors is ON, EZhelp will display an error on screen
  59. before returning to the calling program with the error code. This
  60. feature is useful when a help reference is initially developed.

  62. This string (or symbol) will display when there is more text to
  63. display ABOVE the text in the window. You can insert special
  64. symbols such as  or , by holding down the Alt key and
  65. pressing the corresponding ascii code for the symbol. Here are
  66. the ascii codes for the example symbols:

  70. This string (or symbol) will display when there is more text to
  71. display BELOW the text in the window. You can insert special
  72. symbols such as  or , by holding down the Alt key and
  73. pressing the corresponding ascii code for the symbol. Here are
  74. the ascii codes for the example symbols:

  78. EZhelp returns to the calling program when escape is pressed.
  79. The Exit string will display in the upper left hand of the help
  80. reference window. Enter blanks if you want no display.

  83. The help anchor positions the reference
  84.   window on the screen. The window is
  85.   divided into nine sections like so:
